Is Content the King in Today’s Marketing?

By Marta Leave a Comment

Content is the king. Yes, we have heard it many times, but is it true? The question arises, whether this statement is still valid. Is content that we serve our users/readers really so important? Is content the king nowadays?

Is Today’s Marketing Different?

Some say that content marketing is the only marketing that left. The world has changed. Especially in terms of marketing. Traditional tools are failing. Why is that?

Buying behaviour is different. People got used to obvious advertising, telemarketing, talking about ‘fantastic' features and ‘great' benefits. Now clients have control on the procedure of buying. First thing you do when you have a problem, is to search for the answer on the Internet. We all just ask Google. Nowadays our potential readers, users or clients also search for needed information on their own. We all are getting better and better in it as we learn. It means, that people are more fastidious and knowledgeable, than they used to be. Today's online marketing is based on delivering useful information and valuable content, attracting attention and engaging users.

Is Content The King?
Is Content The King? If so, what does it mean actually and how can we use it?

Customer Centered Marketing

It is all about focusing on the client and his needs. We have to rethink marketing approach. Instead of talking about how good is our product, we have to describe how useful can it be. What problem does it solve? How it will help? The basic idea of communication must be changed. We have to create genuinely valuable content, deliver useful information and promise even more.

Is Content the King?

It seems that nowadays an excellent content is a catalyst for success on the Internet. Some say that content is everything. It can influence the process of brand building and help gaining publicity and greater awareness. Content may cause expansion of the coverage and improving brand's positions in Google, and then attract users/clients and expands the conversion.

How To Do It

  • Know you field very well
  • Deeply understand the needs of your target user/client base
  • Add the real value to your content – hand out convenient information
  • Create profitable content and share it
  • Provide your user/client a chance to educate and grow on your information
  • Deliver solutions and demonstrate your expertise and efficiency
  • Gain the trust and turn prospect clients to clients and clients to long-term clients

I will return to this topic soon and give you more details about the list above. I hope you find it valuable 🙂
